Arizona Vibes

CLAY RED 2

2019 saw ‘Living Coral’ as Pantone’s colour of the year and this stunning, lively colour was featured everywhere from home interior design to luxurious shades of lipstick. But as the year has progressed, this wonderful Coral colour has become more saturated and as 2020 draws near, we’re starting to see more teasers of a richer Terracotta, Clay Red.

We can’t stop swooning over this sublime shade. Match with an array of organic surfaces and focus on handmade rustic accessories to enhance the natural and earthy vibe of Arizona. We’re particularly fond of Bamboo and woven textures, these are perfect for adding a sense of tranquillity to a space. The addition of large windows, living plants and wooden ornaments will complete the look and add a true Arizonian feel to your home.

BiophilLic Design

TRANQUIL DAWN RESIZE

Biophilic design is still going strong, especially in compact city homes. With minimal open space, it creates the perfect opportunity to connect with nature through design. If you’re lucky enough to have large windows, steer away from lavish curtains and experiment with delicate opaque fabrics to create a light and more spacious feel.

The addition of plants and natural materials will increase your connection with nature. Choose light and naturalistic colours to create a harmonious look. Dulux’s predicted colour of 2020 is Tranquil Dawn green- the perfect shade to combine with this style.

Pattern is a staple feature of every home, it highlights personality and adds to the creation a unique space.

Whether you choose one focal pattern or a combination of different styles, we can’t help but adore the carefree and fun feeling that pattern brings to a home. If you’re unsure on a starting point, experiment with one statement piece of furniture or be adventurous with a feature wall. Accessorise with dark furniture and a mixture of contrasting pillows and cushions – and voila!

YELLOW PILLOW RESIZE

Monochromatic pattern is a beautifully timeless choice. And if you’d like to refresh the style later on, a pop of bold colour will completely transform the look. The addition of bold cushions and accessories will inject new excitement into your space, giving you a wonderfully refreshed feel!

The floral pattern has been a firm favourite for many years and it doesn’t seem to be disappearing any time soon. 2020’s wallpaper of the year is a stunning floral print with plenty of blue open space – a fun print like this will give you more freedom in your room design.

We recommend highlighting one of the colours from the pattern and using it to influence your home accessories. We love the thought of layering bold shades of velvet cushions against a busy background to add lovely depth and a touch of luxury to the look.

A parquet floor will add exquisite pattern and style to any room. The intricate blocks of wood can be laid in an array of styles to add a wonderful traditional yet modern look to your home. Whether you choose a herringbone or a chevron pattern, your floor is sure to be admired by your guests. And to make a real statement, pair with an eye-catching rug to add bold colour and personality to your home.
