Wonderfully Whitened: Katie’s Isleworth Home

Katie’s home in Isleworth, West London has been beautifully transformed with white parquet flooring and the expert craftsmanship of Woven & Woods.

Katie lives and works in London and has been in her Isleworth home since December 2016. When Katie moved in, the place was in good condition yet a little tired and the floors were different throughout – time for a refresh. With a French bulldog (called Steak!) carpets were out the question and wood flooring was on the cards. Hear from Katie on her experience of having Woodpecker flooring fitted throughout…

“I went to Woven & Woods in Twickenham as their store was eye-catching and contemporary, and when I went in they had loads of variety and were super knowledgeable. I knew I wanted either a light grey/white or very dark grey herringbone throughout the whole house. It needed to be hardwearing but due to the amount I needed, had to fit the budget too.

Woven & Woods were amazing. I literally took over the shop laying down samples and walking over them in heels, bare feet and even the dog gave it a go. Once I took the samples home it was clear that Whitened Oak was the one.

The fitters from Woven & Woods were brilliant. Super friendly, trustworthy and perfectionists. Plenty of tea and biscuits to keep them going. Over the weeks following the fit, they were happy to pop over to fix any squeaky boards that had appeared too.

I love my floor. It’s just the right blend of traditional and contemporary, and our blue kitchen really pops against it.”
