MAILING LISTS

As part of the registration process for our monthly e-newsletter, we collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about stuff you’ve asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We don’t rent or trade our email lists with other organisations and businesses. We use a third-party provider, Pardot (a product of Salesforce), to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. LIVE CHAT 

We have a live chat feature on our website that allows users to contact a member of our team instantly. We use a widget called ‘Olark’ to do this, and some personal information is required to start a chat with us. This information is then put on our Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) Salesforce.  

ADVERTISING 

We use a Facebook Pixel and Google Ads Tracking Code across our website to send useful information back to Facebook and Google about how our website users are interacting with the sites. We may then use that information to target and display more relevant content in the form of paid advertising to users who have previously interacted with our website, or to those who may be similar to that audience. No personal data is contained or collected in the Pixel or tracking code, nor do we sell or share this information to any other businesses, it is only used to provide a more fulfilling, relevant and seamless experience of Woodpecker Flooring online.

HOTJAR 

We use Hotjar to better understand our users’ needs and to optimise the user experience on our website. The data includes device IP addresses (processed during your session and stored in a de-identified form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), and the preferred language used to display our website. The information collected complies with the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Hotjar is contractually forbidden to sell any of the data collected on our behalf.
