LIVE CHAT
We have a live chat feature on our website that allows users to contact a member of our team instantly. We use a widget called ‘Olark’ to do this, and some personal information is required to start a chat with us. This information is then put on our Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) Salesforce.
ADVERTISING
We use a Facebook Pixel and Google Ads Tracking Code across our website to send useful information back to Facebook and Google about how our website users are interacting with the sites. We may then use that information to target and display more relevant content in the form of paid advertising to users who have previously interacted with our website, or to those who may be similar to that audience. No personal data is contained or collected in the Pixel or tracking code, nor do we sell or share this information to any other businesses, it is only used to provide a more fulfilling, relevant and seamless experience of Woodpecker Flooring online.

ReCAPTCHA
To help keep our site safe and secure, we use Google ReCAPTCHA validation to determine if form submissions are robots and/or spam. ReCAPTCHA v2 uses an “I am not a robot” checkbox and visual puzzles to validate whether a user is a human or bot. ReCAPTCHA v3 is able to verify legitimate interactions without any user interaction, it does this by using a JavaScript API and returning a score. Some users may be prompted to solve a captcha puzzle, however, ReCAPTCHA v3 should give users the most uninterrupted and seamless experience when submitting information.

HOTJAR
We use Hotjar to better understand our users’ needs and to optimise the user experience on our website. The data includes device IP addresses (processed during your session and stored in a de-identified form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), and the preferred language used to display our website. The information collected complies with the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Hotjar is contractually forbidden to sell any of the data collected on our behalf.
